Wellness Detection

Your body sends signals before you feel symptoms. Laso reads them.

By tracking HRV, heart rate, sleep, respiratory rate, temperature, and activity against your personal baselines, Laso spots the early signs of body stress before they become full blown symptoms.

Multi metric monitoring

No single metric tells the full story. A dip in HRV alone could mean a tough workout. A short night of sleep might just mean a late evening. But when HRV drops, resting heart rate rises, sleep quality falls, and respiratory rate climbs all at the same time, that combination is a strong signal that something is going on inside your body.

HRV and heart rate

These two metrics reflect your autonomic nervous system. When your body fights infection or manages chronic stress, HRV typically drops and heart rate rises. Laso watches both against your personal rolling averages.

Sleep and respiratory rate

Disrupted sleep and elevated breathing rate during sleep are among the earliest detectable changes when illness is developing. Laso tracks sleep efficiency, total duration, and breaths per minute to identify shifts you would not notice on your own.

Temperature and activity

Skin temperature deviations from baseline can precede a fever by hours. Sudden drops in daily activity, when you typically move a lot, can signal fatigue your conscious mind has not registered yet. Laso incorporates both into its wellness model.

The 6 wellness signals

Laso does not just flag "something is off." It categorizes the pattern into one of six specific wellness signals so you have a clearer picture of what your body may be dealing with.

Fatigue

Sustained low recovery scores across multiple days, indicating your body is not bouncing back from daily demands.

Burnout

Chronic stress accumulation over weeks, where elevated stress scores become the norm rather than the exception.

Overtraining

Excessive strain load without adequate recovery windows. Laso spots when your training volume outpaces your body's ability to adapt.

Insomnia risk

Degraded sleep efficiency, longer time to fall asleep, and increased wakefulness that may indicate developing sleep problems.

Recovery dips

Unexplained drops in your recovery score that do not correlate with recent strain or sleep changes, suggesting an internal stressor.

Inactivity patterns

Sudden changes in your movement behavior. When someone who normally takes 8,000 steps drops to 3,000 for several days, the body may be signaling fatigue.

Personal baselines are the key

Population averages are a poor tool for individual health monitoring. An HRV of 40 might be perfectly normal for one person and a red flag for another. Laso builds personal baselines from your own data over time, so every comparison is against your normal, not someone else's.

This is why Laso gets more useful the longer you wear your device. After just one week, the baselines begin to stabilize. After a month, Laso can detect deviations that are subtle but meaningful. A 5% drop in HRV that lasts three days means something different than a one day fluctuation, and Laso knows the difference because it knows your pattern.

What to do when Laso flags something

Laso is not a medical device and does not diagnose illness. What it does is give you an early heads up that your body is under unusual stress. When you see a wellness flag, here is what to consider.

Reduce your strain target

If Laso detects early wellness signals, it automatically lowers your recommended strain target. This is your cue to take it easier. Skip the intense workout. Go for a walk instead. Let your body allocate its resources toward recovery.

Prioritize sleep

Sleep is when your body does its heaviest repair work. When Laso flags a wellness concern, aim for extra sleep. Even 30 to 60 additional minutes can make a meaningful difference in how quickly your metrics return to baseline.

Watch the trend

If your metrics return to normal within a day or two, it was likely a transient stressor. If the pattern persists for three or more days, that is a stronger signal and it may be worth consulting a healthcare professional.
